Our story

A small range, made properly, for people who stay out longer than planned.

North Star Outfitters began with a torn pack on the third day of a four-day walk. Not a dramatic failure — just a shoulder strap that pulled away from its anchor stitching because it had been sewn to a price rather than to a purpose.

How we build

We keep the catalogue deliberately small. Every piece is specified around a real use case rather than a spreadsheet: what it has to survive, how long it has to last, and what it has to weigh when you are already tired.

Fabrics are chosen for abrasion and tear resistance first and hand feel second. Load bearing seams are bar tacked. Zips are chosen by cycle rating. Where a fitting can corrode, we specify one that will not.

Lifetime workmanship

If something we made fails through a fault in our workmanship or materials, we repair it or replace it — for as long as you own it. That is not a marketing line; it is the reason we build the way we do.

Where we are

We are a small team working out of a workshop and a lot of trailheads. The quickest way to reach us is the contact page, and a person reads every message.
